Andor - BC43 Benchtop Microscope
Providing creative direction to the client on confocal instrument enclosures and, later, in after-market work for product segmentation.
Similar to some other client companies, our relationship with Andor pre-dates the founding of BIGsmall. In previous roles, Stephen McGilloway has worked with Andor as far back as 2000 on several of their ranges of Scientific Cameras & Spectograph Enclosures.
In 2018, BIGsmall carried out the concept phase of the 'Project LightBlue' with the in-house Design Engineering team. The product was further refined and implemented by the Andor team as the BC43, a compact, benchtop system rich in features for rapid, high-resolution imaging.
The most recent product development project focussed on a challenge to define BC43 product variants with the ability to, remotely, expand on the GUI.
